20th WYD Has Two Popes
Cardinal Meisner said, "This is the first World Youth Day with two popes, one watching from above and the other taking part here below".
We are witnessing Divine Providence at this very moment. Pope John Paul II built a relationship with young people within a span of twenty years. The selection of Cologne as the venue for the 20th WYD event was God's plan so the next Pope, Benedict XVI would carry the torch passed on by his predecessor.
