The Pope's Prayer Intentions For November 2005

General intention: "That married people may imitate the example of conjugal holiness shown by so many couples in the ordinary conditions of life."

Mission intention is: "That pastors of mission territories may recognize with constant care their duty to foster the permanent formation of their own priests."

Amen to all of that! Especially marriage which has very high divorce rates at the moment, but all could change with prayer!
Oh I just love the red shoes, Pope Benedicts i'm sure.
Happy All Saints Day!!!

Happy All Saints to you too Carmel!

Yes, prayers are urgently needed for married couples today. They have so many challenges especially for those who are weak in faith. We commend them to Mary, who on Cana asked her Son to help the young married couple. She loves to help couples who are in need.

As for the shoes... yes they're Papa Benedict's! Have you ever seen such beautiful red shoes?

No I have not! Are the red shoes something that Pope John Paul II wore also?

Yes, they are the same style shoes that Pope John Paul II wore also. They are supplied by the Pope's Tailor, Ditta Annibale Gammarelli.

Also, I read that John Paul II adopted red-brown shoes later in his pontificate but I haven't seen Pope Benedict wearing them yet, except maybe here, although I think they're hiking boots.

I think he loves wearing those red shoes!
