Recta Ratio. A new favorite site! Beautiful art posted and the Chair of Saint Peter! Breathtaking! I've never seen such a thing so expressive of man's desire to honor God in His Servant.

Where else has The Holy Ghost inspired such glory? Where else has He raised such saints as Francis, Augustine, Catherine of Siena, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, Aquinas, Bonaventure,Therese, John of the Cross, Bonaventure,Bede, Chrysostom, Kolbe, Pio and Joan of Arc? Only His church. The Holy Roman Catholic Church!

Who else holds tight the helm of Peter? None but Christ's Vicars. Even when the Chair was ill-occupied, it came to naught. The Spirit knows only the likes of Leo, Gregory, Pius, John, Benedict and JPII. What other head of a religion is consulted by heads of state? His authority is recognized by even the secular. Even today the Evil One is expelled only by Her ordained and authorized agent. "And devils went out from many, crying out and saying: 'Thou art the Son of God'" "Now some also of the Jewish exorcists who went about, attempted to invoke over them that had evil spirits, the name of the Lord Jesus, saying: I conjure you by Jesus, whom Paul preacheth. 14 And there were certain men, seven sons of Sceva, a Jew, a chief priest, that did this. 15 But the wicked spirit, answering, said to them: 'Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?'" Who yet has retains authority? Only The Church by the power of the Chair of Peter!

Just as Jesus was reviled, so His Church, even by Her offspring.

Praise God and thank you, Lord for handing me The Faith. I am not humble enough to have called You on my own and You have spared me the deep descent that would have brought me to my knees! Thou knowest well Thy unworthy child!

Thank you, St. Peter's Helpers, for this unexpected inspiration for many prayers of thanksgiving!

Isn't it a site to behold Carmel? Perhaps you and Jonathan can visit the Eternal City one day.

Ha,ha,ha! That's funny Carmel. Your dream must mean something! Yes, I had the good fortune of visiting the Vatican during the Jubilee Year 2000. One cannot help but feel at home there because of the richness of the Catholic faith. I pray you too will be able to visit and be inspired. One thing for sure is not to miss the Wednesday general audience with the Pope.
