New Cardinals

Pope Benedict announces new Cardinals.

Thomas at American Papist has several posts of fantastic photos of the new red hatters.

By the way, the Holy Father wants us to learn Latin! Learning basic Latin prayers is a good way to start.

The Holy Father wants us to learn Latin! Oh dear! It will be fun trying. Also thanks for the prayers for Jonathan's continued health, we were talking about how it makes us both feel so much more peaceful.

Carmel, I believe you'll have no difficulty with Latin - it's much like Italian. I started with the Angelus by listening to the Pope's Angelus broadcast. It didn't take me too long to memorize it. There is something mystical about speaking in Latin.

God bless.

Thank you for this anouncement on the cardinals. I was really looking forward to this and the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter until I got sick with the flu. I'm still sick today although getting better. I'll read up on the cardinals later and hopefully can post on them soon.

Thank you for your prayers.
