What I did on my Summer Vacation
JMJ+D
Played some Mozart.
Worked on my next book about Jesus.
Picked some strawberries.
Made a surprise visit to a Swiss kennel and got to pet some St. Bernards.
Broke in my new brown suede hiking shoes.
Prayed my Rosary during a mountain hike on the Swiss Alps with Don Georg.

...stay tuned for the next chapter.

Well, I heard excerpt of Papa playing in italian news in which he played Franz Schubert Impromtu As maj op.142 No.2 - I know that piece because my sister played it several years ago.
And the second thing: Papa is picking cherries from tree, not strawberries.
Nice blog.
Those are some funny looking strawberries.
A vacation fit for a pope!
Thanks for the pictures! The Holy Father sets a great example of what a vacation should be!
This looks like one custom of JPII's that Benedict is more than happy to continue. He knows a good thing when he sees it!
Marketa, I wish I had Italian news. I have yet to hear Papa playing. If you know of a video link, I'd love to see him play.
Dilex...round strawberries are a delicacy in Introd... hee-hee :)
Danny, amen to that!
4HC - you're welcome. We ought to follow his example! This is the theology of vacation.
Nancy, Benedict seems to be enjoying his predeccesor's choice of vacation spot. I'm sure Benedict prays to him while hiking and JP2 is with him in spirit.
Wow! Quite different than many modern peoples' "theology of vacations"! :)
