Happy Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi

Today is one of my feast days since I was named after St. Francis. He is one of my spiritual masters along with Father Dominic.

I was late in posting about him today but I will try and share with you some images in his honor, later today.

In the meantime, I invite you to visit the
National Shrine of St. Francis located in my neighborhood of San Francisco.

I havent had time to post on St.Francis, but he is my all time favorite saint, the thing I love most about him (personality wise) is his soft spot for animals.
I didnt think about a shrine to St.Francis so I will check that out.
Hey you were named after a saint! How wonderful!

Yes Carmel, his love for animals and nature is something I love about him too. He was a apostle in action - I remember he said once to his brothers, "Go out and preach and if necessary use words!" I always try and remind myself this.

I forgot to mention, I spent a night and day in San Francisco, I loved it! I wished that I had more time, I didnt know that there was a National Shrine of St.Francis there! I got stuck in San Francisco after missing my international flight back to australia, lets hope that happens again! ;)

Oh what a small world Carmel! I'm sorry you got stuck at the airport, I hope you didn't have to wait for hours. Next time you'll just have to plan a vacation and I'll be glad to suggest some places to tour. Just always bring a jacket because it's always cold in San Francisco!!!

Sorry Carmel, I was re-reading your comment and you did say that you spent a night and a day in SFO, not at the airport as I originally mentioned. Anyway, I hope you had a good experience despite missing your flight!
