The Pope's Smile

JMJ+D

The Pope spent the first day of his apostolic visit to Bavaria greeting the people of his homeland.

He reminisced about his roots in Munich where he was archbishop for five years before being called to Rome to head the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith.
If you watched the telecast of his visit, you cannot help but notice the Pope's smile was different.

He was finally given the opportunity to go back to his roots. He was back home again!

What a wonderful occasion to thank the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Patroness of Bavaria, whom he took as his patroness when he became Archbishop and Cardinal.
"I entrust Bavaria, Germany and the whole world to the Blessed Virgin Mary"
