Those pictures are incredible! When I see these young people I really marvel at their enthusiasm for the Holy Father. Being an aging Baby Boomer, I know that we just didn't have that level of faith, en masse, like they do today. I remember a time when my young friends growing up used to pepper me with stories about why their parents had stopped going to (catholic) church and why they didn't go to catholic school. It was almost embarrasing to be Catholic in the '60's. WYD is such a moving show of faith. Praise God!

Amen! It is such an amazing thing we are witnessing today. We may be entering a new era in Church history in the hopes that there will be a mushrooming of vocations from this WYD, especially in Europe. Young people are hungry for the truth, for direction, for life itself and they know they can get it only from Jesus. The Holy Spirit draws them to the Vicar of Christ because somehow they are attracted to this light of truth. If you've seen the faces of these young people from the photos, they look so joyful, so excited and so much in need to touch even the hem of Jesus' cloak.

Let's pray that the seeds planted in their hearts will bear much much fruit.
